The Shadow in the Lighthouse

On a rocky coastline stood an ancient lighthouse abandoned for decades. Fishermen often reported seeing a dark shadow moving near the tower during storms.

A marine researcher named Vikram visited the lighthouse while studying local legends. He planned to spend several nights there collecting data.

During a violent storm, he heard heavy footsteps climbing the spiral staircase. Assuming another person had entered, he followed the sound.

At the top of the tower, he found no one. Instead, he noticed an old logbook hidden beneath loose stones.

The logbook belonged to a lighthouse keeper who had worked there long ago. The final entry described a rescue mission during a deadly storm. The keeper had saved several sailors but lost his own life.

As Vikram read the final page, a shadowy figure appeared near the lighthouse lamp. The spirit looked out toward the sea before fading into the darkness.

The next morning, Vikram shared the logbook with a local museum. The keeper's bravery was finally recognized, and a memorial was built in his honor.
